SICKNESS
/ MEDICAL EMERGENCIES |
|
Home
is the best place for a sick child. Although there is a bed at
school for children who are suddenly taken ill, facilities or
staff are not available to care for really sick children.
Parents will be contacted and asked to collect sick children as
soon as possible. In cases of extreme emergency eg. serious
accident, the Ambulance Service will be called to give advice
and if considered necessary, convey the injured pupil to
Casualty. Every effort will be made to contact parents or
contact persons prior to transfer to Casualty. |

MEDICATIONS
If
your child suffers from an allergy or infection would you please
notify your child’s teacher or the office. Office staff are available to
assist in the giving
of medication. All requests for such assistance must be made in
writing, outlining all requirements. We are unable to give
medication without a written request. There is a departmental
policy with regard to this matter. Students with specific
medical needs such as anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes etc. are
monitored with an individual helath care plan prepared in
consultation with parents and doctors. Please contact
the
Principal
if you have any enquiries. |
