EDUCATION WEEK OPEN DAY

It was great to see the very large number of parents and relatives who attended our special Education Week sessions at school on Thursday. The open classroom sessions were very exciting for the students who enjoyed showing their work and books to their parents. The love of learning is alive and well at Stanwell Park PS. I’m sure that parents, relatives and friends also enjoyed the opportunity to have a close look at the wonderful work taking place in the classrooms.

Congratulations to the School Captains who did a fantastic job in leading our assembly once again.  They have worked extremely well this year in performing their duties as School Captains. Well done children we are very proud of you.

A special congratulations to all the students who displayed their wonderful abilities in a variety of performances.  The upcoming involvement by the school choir in the Music Festival and the school bands in the Engadine Bandfest will be really something to look forward to after their items on the day.  Also to the students who performed individual items on the day, you were wonderful. Importantly, performance opportunities such as this give our students the chance to showcase to a wider audience the skills and talents that have been developed.

The activities concluded with a Book Fair in the Library, a sausage sizzle and picnic  lunch. Thank you to all the parents, relatives and friends who attended and to all the teachers who again put a great deal of effort into the production of the items and the organisation of the day.
