What a fantastic performance by
our senior choir at the Wollongong Combined Schools Music
Festival held last Wednesday at Anita’s Theatre.  The
choir joined with schools from Wollongong, Dapto and Tarrawanna
to perform a series of combined songs. They were magnificent!
The sound of so many students singing in unison was
outstanding. Our choir also performed two individual songs,
“We’re All In this Together and Do, Re, Mi.”
My favourite (and I think the audiences’) was the Sound Of Music
song. The students put a great deal of effort in and obviously
enjoyed the experience of performing in such a professional
venue.
Staff and I were very proud of
the students for their outstanding performance and behaviour on
the night. Their dedication to learning all the songs and
attending practices was evident in their polished performance
skills – well done! Special thanks to Ms Holloway and Mrs
Bedwell for their work with the choir, they were justifiably
proud of the students. Thanks also to the many proud parents
who once again ensured their children arrived on time and
looking outstanding in their school uniforms. |
