What a perfect day for our annual
cross country carnival in May. The weather was spectacular,
although quite warm for the runners. It was great to see the
large number of parents and family members who took advantage of
the excellent day to cheer on the children. Many, many thanks go
to Pat Dorahy and the large number of students of Loftus Campus
of Sutherland TAFE college who coordinated and conducted the
events on the day. Their assistance was outstanding and the
carnival ran extremely smoothly as a result.
All age events were conducted
smoothly and a new record was set with all races completed
before 11.30am. The K-2 races commenced then and all the 3-6
students cheered them on. Congratulations to all our students
who attempted the demanding cross country course and also to the
place getters who will form our school squad which will
represent Stanwell Park at the District Cross Country carnival. |
