CWA INTERNATIONAL DAY

Stanwell Park Public School once again was an integral part of the annual CWA International Celebrations. On Tuesday our school captains, Aidan , Laura , Mitchell and Ella accompanied Mrs Bradley to represent our school at the formal luncheon organised by our local CWA members.  This year the country of study was Egypt. The luncheon was followed by  a guest speaker who was very knowledgeable about the subject.  We learnt a great deal about Egypt, both historically and present day.

Finally the day was completed by an entertaining and informative presentation by Ms Kingston and the students from 2K. They presented a mime about Arik, an Egyptian mummy.  The children were very dramatic mummies using lots of toilet paper and masking tape!  They also created art work showing their names in hieroglyphics.  They sang and acted out two very funny songs, “Going Down The Nile”  and “The Mummy.”
